CHAIR
LINA
The chair that completes itself with you.
Product description
The Lina line, in its versions with and without arms, has the design inspired by the work of Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi.
Pioneer of furniture design in Brazil, and one of the main exponents of modernist architecture in the country, Lina is world-renowned for her bold and grandiose works, such as the Sesc Pompeii, the Glass House and most notably, MASP.
Her production always suggests a dialog between universalist modernity and regionalist popular culture. Lina proposes empty and unfinished spaces, which will be filled by people´s everyday use. She was completely averse to futility. The main characteristic of Lina`s chair is the lightweight structure, composed of geometric shapes with rocking details - the free span of architecture - combined with the shaped plywood shell that integrates seat and backrest.
